New Moon In Leo 2016

With the new moon in Leo comes some dramatic happenings especially concerning emotions and being the center of attention. This is a moon of exuberance, vitality, and the best time to successfully work out issues with people who are in authoritative positions of power. Now is the time to take the direct approach and assert yourself. It is high drama with this moon, as she is going to step out onto the stage to entertain us once again. You may be tempted to act out the “drama queen” aspect of yourself, or you may simply just want to be romantic. Either way, this is a time of vital energy, affection, and again romance. A fiery Lion extravaganza! “Everybody is a star” and everyone will be recognized for his/her particular Goddess within.

You will want to spend money during this moon transit as it’s a bit hard to recognize limits when the moon is in Leo. This is also a time for power issues to ERUPT! Who will be the center of attention? Ambition + leadership can become very important issues as we are all well aware that Leo has great pride, which can become extremely evident right now. As our moon moves to Virgo, the ambitious energy of Leo will become unassuming. Try enjoying the warmth of kindness and generosity, excitement and exuberance with parties and celebrations. Renew & invigorate yourself this New moon.

Sun oil

Our beloved moon falls into the fiery sign of Leo, and Leo knows all about confidence so be ready to be the center of attention with this amazing "sun oil" potion.  Use this oil to bring out all of the benefits of the sun. This oil will have you feeling invigorated, powerful, sexy, and ready to take center stage!

Ingredients:

• 4 drops essential oil of Frankincense
• 4 drops essential oil of Myrrh
• 1 drop Essential oil of Chamomile
• 1 Essential oil of cardamon

Add the oils to a full bath just prior to entering. *If you do not have a bath tub, you may use these oils blended into your favorite carrier oil (grape-seed, jojoba) and worn as a body oil, or infused with salts to make an invigorating scrub.

Mercury Goes Retrograde April 28th, 2016

Mercury Retrograde April 28th through May 22nd, 2016.

...So we meet again, it's that time again ya'll.

Mercury goes retrograde and this transit has such a bad reputation, but truly it is just a normal pattern + cycle of our life. In fact,  Mercury retrograde is very necessary for helping us shift our focus and learning the role of Mercury is key. 

Mercury isthe planet of communication, it rules over how we express ourselves + how we think and how we communicate our ideas and feelings to the outside world. So when Mercury goes retrograde, this planetary shift will actually help us to also shift our focus away from expressing outwards and into expressing inwards. Don't be afraid to take the journey! 

Mercury retrogrades give us an opportunity to go within and to work out how we're truly  feeling and how we want to express our ideas and thoughts with the rest of the world.

 When Mercury is direct ithelps us to speak our truth and communicate it to the world. When Mercury goes retrograde however, this planet gives us the opportunity to assess our truth and how we have been communicating it to the world. 

This dual process has to exist and happen for us to really understand who we are and how we choose to express or communicate this information. 

Between today April 28th and May 22nd start working out those deeper parts of the  psyche, be gentle and honest with yourself. Mercury retrograde isn't "negative". It's just that when we know our truth, we know who we are. Of course it isn't all rainbows and flowers, Mercury retrograde comes with the obvious annoyances but they're for our growth, despite how frustrating they can feel. Be patient, expect the delays and mishaps/errors in communication that are always associated with mercurial retrogrades. Expect the travel delays, technological problems, and the usual advice of not signing any long binding contracts. 

An interesting point to take note also is that Mercury goes retrograde usually 3x a year, but in 2016  this planet is going retrograde 4 times! This is pretty rare, so the Universe must really want for us now to get in touch with our truth and how we feel.  This retrograde is in Earthy Taurus, it's energy will be a tad bit gentler. This is a really good time to revisit the past to assess whether your way of communicating has benefited you or if it needs to be changed. 

For the next three weeks: Breathe deep, take things slow, and trust that inner voice! 

Our First Mercury RX Of 2016

From January 5th, 2016 to January 25th, 2016 We will be experiencing the first Mercury Rx of the New Year, hooray! We all just survived 2015, so let's show this retrograde how mentally prepared we are (kinda). Be open and receptive to the lessons our lovely Mercurial teacher has in store for us by being mindful of the usual stuff.

• Don't sign legal documents and/or major contracts

• Expect travel delays, give yourself some flexibility in your travel schedule. • Be open to subconscious messages (the truth ALWAYS comes to the surface).

•Tell your ex you're still not interested (pesky ex's love making appearances during  retrogrades) • Go inward: truly use this time for deep introspection: grounding mediation, journaling, painting, resting. release & explore all of your emotions in a healthy creative manner. 

'We're all familiar by now with the dreaded Mercury Retrograde post, but life isn't about hiding from the difficulties or setbacks that may take place during retrograde. The Universe gives us very deliberate lessons for our personal growth, and healing.  Let's try to keep our thoughts positive and our vibrations raised high! we are setting the foundation for the rest of our year. We got this!
