The partial lunar eclipse and Pisces occur on August 27th at 9:12 PM Pacific Time and August 28 at 12:12 AM Eastern Time. This lineation is the last eclipse and Full Moon of the season, karmically wrapping up stories that have been lingering for months. As the Moon rises with a reddish hue, we’ll release our fears and feelings, the universe urges us to reflect and assess upon how we can intuitively and effectively grow from these experiences.

The lunar eclipse in Pisces creates an intense “T-square” with Mercury in Virgo and Uranus in Gemini. Mercury, being the planet of communication, is efficient in Virgo, and Uranus is a revolutionary celestial body that plays by its own rules in Gemini. Also, the Moon in Pisces sets its moods based on vibes. When these three planets come together in the sky during the eclipse, they form a T-shape, configured by a planetary opposition and a square between two sets of planets.

What this does for us earthlings is make us feel as though the changes that are happening are beyond our control. Unforeseen matters come to light from the Moon’s glow, offering us the chance to discuss them. However, Uranus is stirring the cauldron, making it nearly impossible to gain understanding and closure, so the frenetic beat of the stars will go on for a while until we process the information properly (the aftermath of eclipses lasts up to 6 months). Unexpected events and news come out of the blue — so prepare for the tea!

The healing centaur Chiron, who is retrograde in Taurus, offers us stabilizing energy that allows us to find peace within ourselves. Even though the tides are high and our emotions are reaching a feverish pitch, Chiron retrograde swoops in to mend our hearts and show us that, even though we may be hurting, this is a moment in time we will move through the anguish with the help of close friends and family. The asteroid Ceres, currently in Cancer, is a nurturing entity that will protect us from harm's way.

The eclipse falls between the fixed stars Fomalhaut and Deneb Adige, suggesting we seek counseling from our spirit guides. Listening to their words of wisdom and flashes of insight they bring will profoundly transcend the path we are currently on. Since Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, the eclipse is closing former chapters; our ancestors are showing us the way forward.

Knowing the cosmos won't let us fall, but will reinforce our lives, is pivotal. Even in the darkest moments, we will be guided by light forces that hold us together. Aligning with the community is pivotal and necessary because they will offer a great deal of support.
