New Moon in Scorpio
The second New Moon of fall peaks on November 8 at 11:02 PM Pacific time and 2:02 AM Eastern time. This lunation will bring us face-to-face with our innermost fears and demons, forcing us to mend our subconscious by facing buried emotions. The time has come to look at what ails us and take our power back. We declare our independence from anything that controls us. In the darkness, we can see what needs to grow; we must muster the strength to do so without fear.
A New Moon in Scorpio is a time when desires are emerging, and our frustrations take hold because we want to shift in a different and unique direction. As long as we are not harping on regrets too much, the cosmos will lend us the courage to take action in ways that we have never imagined to be possible. However, weโll never know unless we try, which can be difficult because stepping out of oneโs comfort zone is hardโbut not impossible. Significant transformation is possibleโso let it happen.
The New Moon and Mars in Leo are going to aspect each other, creating a tense reaction that stimulates us to take action; we aren't going to be sitting idly by watching things happen; we are going to make an effort to try to understand and to revise the story that has been ongoing for the past several weeks. The following day, Venus retrograde in Libra and Mars and Leo harmonize with each other giving us the desire to try to make amends for the hasty words that we said dirt that we say during the New Moon. No matter how intense circumstances get, they will be undone easilyโas long as we speak from the heart.
The New Moon is a wake-up call from the hazy planetary retrogrades. With Mercury in Scorpio and Venus in Libra turning direct at the end of the week on November 13, the New Moon offers us a glimmer of hope to assert ourselves and to stand up for our desires before we make drastic life-altering decisions. Saturn in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Aries will still be moonwalking in the sky, revisioning how we commit to others, our dreams, and happiness. We are in transition, but the New Moon gives us the impetus to move forward and embrace change.
If we ride out the celestial waves, we will find ourselves in a glorious stateโa place of truth and pure acceptanceโall the more reason to listen to the voice within to guide us through the journey. We may not be able to escape the past; however, we can use the present to guide us toward becoming betterโnot to satisfy others but for ourselves.
