New Moon in Cancer June 2025: Emotional Reset, Intuition, and Fresh Starts

The first New Moon of the summer is going to be exciting and thrilling! The lunation occurs on June 25 at 3:31 AM Pacific Standard  Time and 6:31 AM Eastern Standard Time. Being that the Moon rules the zodiac sign Cancer, it means that we are going to be feeling our feels intimately. Our intuition is also going to be at a high, allowing us to understand our sentiments on a deeper level as well as the motives of others. Prepare to get swept away by the nostalgic and sentimental tides that the New Moon in Cancer is bringing our way.

Since the New Moon connects with the action planet Mars in Virgo, expansive Jupiter in Cancer, restrictive Saturn in Aries, and hopeful Neptune in Aries, we are going to be making our most realistic dreams come true. Although we may feel as though the sky is the limit, which it is, due to Jupiter’s presence, we will choose to start small with pragmatic aspirations that are tangible. In time, we will dream bigger, but for now, we are beginning with things that are immediately accessible to us. Focusing on small wins is the way we can strive and thrive during the New Moon.

With Mars and Jupiter close together, it can create a lofty vibe and intensify empathic abilities, so be sure to start the day with some grounding exercises to help remain present.  As we continue into the afternoon, minor frustrations within relationships might manifest with Pluto retrograde in Aquarius’s inconjunct or quincunx to the New Moon, Mars, and Jupiter. We may feel stuck in certain situations and may want to be on the lookout for controlling or jealous behavior. Instead of focusing on others, take back the power and use this energy to help move our visions forward. The heavy planetary square that Saturn and Neptune bring to the party is heightened by Pluto retrograde. It’s ok to set long-term goals — we just should be mindful of what we are working toward and how we can achieve them.

Mercury, the planet of communication, is in the last degrees of Cancer, making us act impulsively and erratically. Slowing down our thoughts through meditation and relaxation will prove beneficial. Mercury moves into Leo on June 26, starting off a whole new cycle of passion and determination. All the more reason to try to be chill the day before to make the most of the New Moon.

As the New Moon sails through the sky, it allows us to celebrate ourselves. We will be able to express ourselves and show our artistic side. Step out of the protective shell and don't be afraid to put yourself out there, as we will all be hungry for attention and social connection.
