SUMMER SOLSTICE 2021
Welcome Summer!
Astrology by Lisa Stardust
This week brings the final intense pop of astrology in June. After this week, we can chill for a bit. The annual solar eclipse in Gemini occurs on June 10th, the same day Mercury retrograde links up with the Sun in Gemini. This will bring us clarity during the intensity of the eclipse. Action planet Mars enters fierce Leo on June 11th, making us fight for what we love. The Gemini Sun and Neptune, who’s in Pisces, square off on June 13th which will add confusion and delusion to our minds and emotions. Venus, who’s in Cancer, connects with Uranus, who’s in Taurus, on June 13th, bringing excitement to love and relationships. June 14th brings the second Saturn and Uranus square of 2021. The first aspect occurred on February 17th and the final connection will be December 24th. Saturn, who’s retrograde in Aquarius, will square off with Uranus, creating a tug of war regarding how we interact with authority. We are wanting to rebel, be truthful, and live our best lives. Unfortunately, Saturn is the wet blanket standing in the way. Hence, the tense astrological showdown.
Forming a deep connection isn’t taxing. But, keeping one is. Don’t avoid discussing your emotions with others. Getting your feelings out on the table may be helpful in mending issues and repairing relationships. When you do that, you will feel better having been open and honest about your heartfelt sentiments.
It’s time to buckle down and focus on work. As one of the most creative signs of the zodiac, you’ll have no problem bringing your latest vision to life. In fact, you’ll be grateful that you are able to be in a field that lets your artistry and talents shine.
Your anxiety may be at a high this week, which is why the only option is to pause and disconnect from situations in order to find peace of mind. Once you have a moment of chill, you’ll be able to make plans and move forward in all areas of life.
Tough love is hard for anyone, especially you. There comes a point in life where you have to start saying “no” to friends who are constantly asking for a hand out. Give them a hand up and don’t help them. It may seem harsh but it’s best thing for them.
Your ego may be slightly bruised, but only because you have put unrealistic expectations on yourself. The moment you start accepting and loving what you do have, rather than what you don’t, you’ll feel better about your current situation. You are an amazing person and should appreciate your own attributes.
It’s ok to be confused about what the next phase of your life entails. You do not have to make decisions right now. Instead of feeling pressured to make a move, use the energy to plan out the next steps of your life. This will set your goals in motion.
Connecting with a higher minded pursuit will lead you to a knowledgeable and conscious state of being. The caveat is that you’ll have a hard time asserting your recent education into reality, as you are becoming more mindful and philosophical. Use this as an internal source of inspiration to evolve.
Love is on the brain for most of the week. While you’re wanting to find ways to connect with your crush or partner, you’re also desiring freedom. Finding a balance between autonomy and commitment is hard, but doable. Yes, you can totally have your cake and eat it too now.
Relationships are hard and take a lot of patience (which you do not have a lot of sometimes). Slow down the way you react to matters to ensure that you are able to make rational decisions and not act impulsively. Then, you can make practical decisions about partnerships and friendships.
You’re wanting to implement boundaries with everyone in your life at the moment. The caveat is that you’re not the best at setting these limits into play. You may decide to dip out of communication with your family and friends for a minute to hit the reset button in relationships.
Finding a moment to yourself will be challenging this week, but it’s important to make the time to rest. Your mind is overactive, which is creating internal stress and drama to perpetuate itself. Relaxing is essential. If you’re feeling restless, then try a new restorative and rejuvenating technique to decompress.
When the chatter in your social circle persists, you should disengage and refocus the energy on yourself. Stop being a part of gossip and long winded discussions. These are only distractions from gaining success and winning at all you pursue. It’s not helpful and is energy wasted, not properly used.

June 10th brings the annual solar eclipse, also known as “the ring of fire eclipse” in Gemini. The annual solar eclipse occurs from the Sun and Moon’s alignment with the Earth permeating a sliver of light around the Dark Moon.
This luminary aligns with Mercury retrograde (who is the planetary ruler of the Gemini Sun and Moon). Elusive Neptune, who’s also in relation to Mercury retrograde, is making us emotional, paranoid, sensitive, and unable to see things clearly. Take a breath. Relax. Then, analyze the facts of the matter.
The tense energy is contagious and intense, we are all projecting our feelings. Like the game of Dominos, it’s making us all take out our moods on others until the last piece (or in this case person) falls. Instead of spreading drama and negativity, channel the energy differently and offer compassion to others.
This eclipse will awaken the argument between our heads and hearts. Which do you want to follow? Chances are, we’ll spend days debating whether to lead with intellect or emotions. The winner will be our hearts, as love always trumps all and wins.
Reflection and meditation is key. Mercury’s moonwalk will allow us to look back and take note about what we would like to change in our lives. This may give us the opportunity to forgive and heal our past.
Clearing the mind of negativity is hard. Disengaging with self-doubt and fear isn’t easy. Once we get to a place where we can think rationally without the outside chatter, we can make our innermost dreams come true.
Meditate on what energy you want to bring in. Now that you have let go, what do you want to add into your life? You can manifest anything you want as long as you are honest and truthful about your desires.
Think about former desires or old goals that have been on the back burner for years. They have the ability to come to life and become a reality at the moment. Getting clear on the vision will take reflection and meditation, but will come from the heart (which is why it will have the light and power to move forward).
The first total lunar eclipse since the winter of 2019 is occurring on May 26th in Sagittarius. The lunar eclipse will also be a Blood Moon as well, making it an energetically powerful time to connect with our intuition and emotions.
This lumnation is the closing story to projects, relationships, or situations that began in November 2019. Now that we’ve grown, it’s time for us to reconsider, revise, and alter the visions that began under the New Moon in Sagittarius on November 26th.
The lunar eclipse aspects Jupiter, who’s currently in the sign Pisces. Jupiter is also the ruler of the Sagittarius, the sign in which the lunar eclipse is occurring. The Moon will square off with the current sign that Jupiter is in, expanding our minds, philosophies, and understanding of matters. We are letting go of the old ways of thinking and replacing them with new ideas.
Contrary to popular beliefs, eclipses aren’t necessarily bad. They bring things that have been swept under the carpet to focus. Past resentments and arguments can resurface, as well as the need to fanatically express oneself. This luminary in particular could be fun and even lucky, as Jupiter is so tightly intertwined. The only foreseeable issue is that Jupiter can make situations bigger, which is not ideal. However, the energy is containable. Knowing when to check yourself and back off from a dramatic matter before it reaches a boiling point is key to ensure it doesn’t escalate, which Jupiter can do. We will have a roller coaster of emotions, most of which will be joyous.
Being that the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are tied up in a Mutable T-Square, this luminary will affect Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces the most (in different ways). The mutable signs will be pushed out of their comfort zones and forced to make major decisions about work, relationships, and family matters. It’ll affect the way they feel about themselves, because the eclipse will poke their egos. Therefore, it’s important for the mutable signs to focus on what they can do to better their personal situations before anything or anyone else.
The centaur Chiron, who is currently in the sign of Aries, is also active. Chiron is “the wounded healer who ironically could not heal himself.” Watch out for projections from others who do have your best interests at heart, but don’t have the best way of expressing it. This can be a healing time, which can bring enlightenment and positive emotions to us (if we opt to “live and let live” with others).
Mercury retrograde starts on May 29th in Gemini. We will be in the pre-retrograde zone during the eclipse. Be prepared for the past to come back. How we deal with it is all that counts. This can also bring a slow down in things from happening, which is why patience is essential.
The overall vibe of the eclipse is to exert your energies on yourself. You will be able to relish in the lunar potency and vibrations if you lean into honoring yourself.
Light a purple candle (the color of Sagittarius). Carve your name and birthdate or zodiac sign into the candle. Write down and journal how you have changed since 2019 and where you wish to grow. Meditate and reflect. Then release while exhaling. Bring in your goals while inhaling.

The Taurus New Moon that occurs on May 11th is a fertile time to our innermost plant dreams with the intention of making them a reality. This New Moon has the potential to bring our wishes to life, making it an energetically rich time to attain them.
This luminary is extremely potent for manifesting. Not only is it a New Moon, which marks a fresh start. But, the Sun and the Moon (who are both in Taurus) connect with Pluto (who is in Capricorn). Together, these three planets create a Grand Trine. This means that the desire to create, motivate, and inspire is strong. Add in dreamy planet Neptune (who is in Pisces) and we get an emotional, instinctual, and tender way in which our visions take flight. These planets will make the New Moon a super romantic and lovely time that will push us to align with our innermost sentiments, hopes, and fantasies. It also gives us the push for direction and incentive to bring them to life in the physical world.
The planetary ruler of the New Moon is Venus, who is currently in Gemini. Venus is riding along the North Node of Destiny, which means that the events that occur today are fated. The New Moon will expand our consciousness to many possibilities— many of which we didn’t even know were possible. Keep your mind and heart open when it comes to matters of love, money, friendships, relationships, and artistic endeavors. We are wanting to bring something big to the world now, that’s why this luminary is important. It will be the first part of the dreams we are crafting over the next two years.
The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is a “White Dove Flying Over Troubled Waters.” White doves symbolize peace and love, which is the message of this luminary. Aligning with our truest and purest spirit is essential. Honoring and acknowledging the song our hearts are yearning to sing is important.
Enjoy the lovely energy of this New Moon. Bring your visions to light! Manifest and grow your dreams!
Flower, plant, or seeds.
Flower pot
Soil
Wish or parchment paper
Pencil
Cauldron
On a piece of wish or parchment paper, write down the intentions that you want to bring to fruition.
Burn the paper in a cauldron (be sure to practice fire safety).
Take the ashes and place them in a sachet.
Tie the sachet to roots of a plant, flower, or next to the seeds (if you’re newly planting).
Bury in the soil.
Water the plant, flower, or seeds.
As time goes by, talk or sing to it. Give it a lot of love.
The goals that are blooming require TLC to come to reality. Tend to them.
The Supermoon in Scorpio rises on April 26th. This luminary is in close proximity (perigee) to Earth, which makes the Moon appear larger and more robust. On an emotional level, we will feel the effects of the Full Moon on a greater scale because the Moon is nearer to the Earth’s atmosphere than usual.
As with all Full Moons in Scorpio, emotions will be lit and transformation can occur if we release the past to start anew. We can expect to feel sentiments in a powerful and profound way. Mars, who is the traditional planetary ruler of the Scorpio Moon, is in Cancer. This places the Moon and Mars in mutual reception of each other, which gives these planets extra force. Don’t shy away from emotions. Own your feelings. Accept them. Express them. Pluto, who’s the modern ruler of the Scorpio Moon, will start its retrograde journey in Capricorn the following day on the 27th. This will give us time to reflect on the actions we want to take, before we proceed.
The Supermoon aspects Mars (who’s in Cancer) and opposes Uranus (who’s in Taurus). Mars is a planet of action and Uranus is a planet who awakens our spirits. Therefore, this is a time when we’ll see matters very clearly. The caveat is knowing and understanding how to proceed once the truth is revealed to us. Moving onwards may take time, as we aren’t sure of the path to choose. Also, we’re creatures of comfort which makes it hard to simply leave the past behind. Hours after the Full Moon, austere Saturn comes in and limits our desire to grow. Knowing what needs to be changed and augmented is a great start, as well as making sure that we are walking down the best path for ourselves.
The fixed star Khambalia links up with the Scorpio Moon, while the fixed star Hamal conjuncts the Taurus Sun. Khambalia will add a deeper and intense energy to this luminary. Hamal will make us feel as though others are conspiring against us (which they probably aren’t). The juxtaposition of these two stars will make us all very emotional and sensitive. Taking a moment to heal, cleanse, and refresh our energy is important to avoid passions (the good, the bad, and the ugly) from consuming our hearts and minds.
*The Super Full Moon in Scorpio occurs on April 26th at 8:31PM PST and 11:31PM EST.
Supermoon Releasing Ritual:
Ingredients:
-1 Black Candle
-Cauldron
-Frankincense Incense
-1 Piece of Paper
-Pencil
-Bowl of Water
Directions:
Light the incense in the cauldron. Let it cleanse the surrounding energy and clear your mind. Allow the incense help you come to fruition about what you want to detox from your life. Once you’ve meditated on this, make a list on the paper with the pencil about all that you wish to cut out of your life. Then, light the black candle. With the fame of the candle, burn the paper. Place the paper in a bowl of water and let it burn. Discard the ashes. Leave the candle burning until it’s completely done.

This week’s celestial energy is intense, which is why it’s important to take time for ourselves to center the energies at play. This will help us navigate through the tense cosmic vibes with ease. Venus enters Taurus on April 14th, adding sensuality and tenderness to romantic partnerships. The Aries Sun harmonizes with Jupiter, who’s in Aquarius, on April 15th and creates optimistic growth. Jupiter connects with both Mercury, who’s in Aries, and Mars, who’s in Gemini (then Mercury and Mars aspect each other) on the 17th. Mercury squares Pluto, who’s in Capricorn, on April 17th as well. This will create a lot of drama resulting from impetuous communication. Therefore, it’s important to use your words wisely. The Sun and Mercury link up in Aries on the 18th, giving us the opportunity to speak our minds. The Sun and Mercury enter Taurus on April 19th, shifting the fiery energy to a calmer vibe in time for the First Quarter Moon in Leo on April 20th.
You are taking your power back by expressing your unfiltered sentiments to others. Rather than holding back, you’ll want to speak your mind and emotions. It’ll create a healthier dynamic with friends and family. The only advice is to think before you talk to avoid conflict from your impulsive words.
Self-care is something that you need to implement into your daily routine, rather than just thinking or dreaming about it. Give yourself the love that you deserve by treating yourself to a week of rest and relaxation. If you’re able to take a bath, it’ll help to calm your worries.
Although you’ve been talking and planning about the next steps that you need to take in order to achieve your goals, it may not be the right time to move towards them. You don’t have to fully abandon them, even by putting them on the back burner. Revise them now.
Before taking on more than you can chew and do, make sure that your schedule permits this. Avoid the drama and stress of being over-consumed with work and mundane tasks. Let yourself have fun and relax, instead of worrying about completing all of the errands and tasks on your schedule.
Taking the high road can be challenging, especially when you are emotionally invested. The lesson is that there is no right or wrong. Conflicts often arise, which can easily be worked out. Leading with the heart instead of the mind will help you squash situations before they reach great heights.
Setting boundaries is an essential part of every relationship, even the one with yourself. Draw a line in the sand to ensure that no one’s energy leaks over to your side and affects your vibe. As long as you focus on your needs, you’ll be able to find balance within.
A seemingly good investment has suddenly landed in your lap, making you consider taking the offer and taking the deal by signing a contract. Be forewarned: All that glitters may not be gold. Make deals and negotiations with care. Read contracts with caution to avoid mishaps or misunderstandings down the road.
Instead of trying to control matters, learn to go with the flow. This will save you a lot of aggravation down the road, as you’ll be able to have a calmer attitude and vibe. Focus your energies on self-care and enjoying the fruits of your labors, rather than manage them.
Creativity is calling to you, urging you to bring your talents to the public for the world to see. Don’t be shy in letting people gaze at your talents or fearful of what others think. Show off your artistic side and allow yourself to be at the center of everything.
Your life can be transformed by love, mostly by the making of love that you give to yourself. Don’t deny yourself the care and fondness that you need. Give yourself more gentleness than usual to ensure that you are able to navigate through hard decisions that you have to make.
Oftentimes, when you are upset you let it sit within yourself. This week, you could reach your boiling point and the hot water will bubble over onto the stove. Before reacting and acting out, allow yourself to simmer down and cool off in an effort to avoid conflict and arguments.
Giving 100% of your energy to others can leave your loving cup feeling energetically depleted. Make sure that you have a lot to give before freely pouring your tender loving care into the cups of others from your fountain of wealth. This will ensure that you are receiving affection too.

The Aries New Moon is asking us to be bold. Standing face to face with our deepest fears will require us to act boldly. If we are willing to be honest with ourselves, then we can squash the talk and doubt in our heads that’s been holding us back and attain our best lives.
The New Moon and Venus share an opening square with Pluto, allowing us to make changes that will be the beginning of the journey we’re committing to. The caveat is that we may let the negative vibes of Pluto stand in the way of attaining our goals, as we are scared of evolving and moving forward. Change is hard. After all, we are creatures of comfort. However, it’s essential to move towards newness and allow ourselves to feel new emotions, passions, and desires.
The opposite sentiment can lead to stagnation, which can make us feel stuck and frustrated. Don’t fight or rush the process. Move in flow of the cosmos. But, take your time towards achieving growth. The other side of this aspect can lead to a deep healing and to an attainment of spiritual transformation.
Jupiter and Mars lend a helping hand to this energy, by allowing us to discuss our plans for the future. Mercury and Mars, who are in mutual reception, are giving us the motivation to resolve the past by moving into the next vision and committing to a new journey. A new cycle is beginning. Are you ready?
This luminary will force us to embrace our shadow side in order to move forward without fear. In order to do so, we’ll have to do glamour magic to encourage confidence and power (both are descriptions and elements of Pluto) to attain our desires.
Take a mirror and lay it by the windowsill under the New Moon. Let the moon’s energy radiate and ignite the mirror with passion. After you’ve meditated on your personal affirmation and when you’re feeling ready, write down your mantra on a piece of paper. Affix it to the mirror. State the affirmation five times while staring at yourself in the mirror. When you’re done, state one thing, habit, or phobia that you would like to rid yourself of. Then, write it on a piece of paper and bury it in the dirt, flush it down the toilet, or burn it to ensure that you never hold onto that sentiment again. Practice your affirmations every morning and night to make sure that your visions come to fruition swiftly.

The Libra Full Moon occurs on March 28th and aims to bring balance back into our lives, although it may be hard. The scales will be tested, as Venus and the centaur Chiron, who are in Aries, will oppose the Libra Moon. Healing can take place, due to Chiron’s presence. But, only if we are ready and accepting of the work that we have to do.
The past few days have brought us many obstacles relating to love, money, and confidence. March 26th’s Venus Star Point in Aries (the 10-12 month cosmic meetup of the Sun and Venus), along with Mars’ connection with the North Node of Destiny in Gemini is allowing us to go after what we want in relationships. The caveat is that we’re seeing things through tunnel vision and our own perspectives. We haven’t been looking at matters through the lens of partnerships. Now, we can assess and repair situations with others by mending our past wounds. More importantly, the relationship we have with ourselves.
The Full Moon aims to center relationships and give everyone a new footing to stand on. Saturn comes in and adds a dash of practicality, stability, and commitment. If we work hard in matters of the heart, then we will be rewarded for our efforts. The lesson here is that love hurts. It can also heal and build stronger foundations for all parties involved.
The Sabian Symbol for this luminary is “Three ‘Old Masters’ Hanging On The Wall Of A Special Room In An Art Gallery.” This can be interpreted as the stages of a relationship (the meeting, the honeymoon phase, and the commitment). We can craft the relationship that we want (even with and for ourselves) if we are ready to let go of old hang ups and move forward.
The fixed star Vindemiatrix is in orb for this Full Moon. It will give us the motivation to create the life and partnerships that we want, if we trust the process and the universe in allowing us to evolve our hearts.
*The Libra Full Moon occurs on March 28th at 11:49AM PDT and 2:49PM EDT.
Full Moon Ritual:
A lot of healing around love and self-love is necessary during this Full Moon. A bath with Epsom salt, white rose petals, rose quartz, and Florida water will allow us to detox, cleanse, and repair our hearts and confidence. Follow the bath up with a light pink candle to remedy matters. Also, do something nice for yourself. Treat yourself to a sweet dessert, dinner, or rest to fully embrace the Venusian (the planetary ruler of the Libra Moon is Venus) vibes throughout the day.
