NEW MOON IN ARIES

The New Moon in Aries occurs at 4:52 AM PT and 7:52 AM ET on April 17. The lunation is the pure manifestation of fire, making it a moment to take action. The healing centaur Chiron in Aries and rebellious asteroid Eris in Aries form a connection with the New Moon, offering us a moment to mend our wounds that persist. We are looking back in order to start a new beginning, which means releasing pain through different modalities that speak to our body, mind, spirit, and heart.

The fixed star Vertex is keeping our secrets close to our chests, but ensures we may partake in shady schemes or deals. As a result, we must be careful in the alliances we commit to or the side of the discussion we appeal to. Our drive and ambition will be a top priority, as the need to succeed and achieve our goals pushes us to tactics we might not normally do. Even though the Aries energy believes winning is everything, there is more to life. 

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune are in an Aries stellium (several planets in the same sign) under the lunation, heightening our desires. In order to find out how this will personally affect you, look to the house that Aries rules in your birth chart. The energy intensifies that area, bringing revelations and surprises to that particular part of our lives. On one hand, we may feel a sense of overwhelming excitement. • March 23: Mercury forms an alliance to the North Node of Destiny in Pisces, making the contacts we meet vital to our future and information we receive juicy. 

• March 25: The Sun forms a conjunction to Saturn  in Aries, urging us to be more dutiful and responsible. This is our opportunity to adult—pay bills, make appointments, and carry out errands. No slacking!

• March 25: The Sun in Aries links up with Pluto in Aquarius, heightening our determination and power. This is a day to take charge and embrace our fabulousness.

• March 28: Austere Saturn in Aries connects with revolutionary Pluto in Aquarius, starting disagreements that could be transformational in the end, but dramatic when they occur. Stay in your lane and don’t meddle in the affairs of others to avoid conflict.
