NEW MOON IN VIRGO 2026
The last New Moon of summer occurs on September 10 at 8:27 PM Pacific time and 11:27 PM Eastern time. The New Moon in Virgo aspects Mars and Cancer, offering the opportunity to take a sentimental look at our lives and to implement transformation. The cosmos are pouring love into our cups, telling us to take steps forward, rather than backward. We are planting seeds for the future, starting with those that build confidence and stir our earthy delights. Finding the middle ground between practicality and passion is key, as it will offer us insight into our journey.
The same day Mercury enters Libra, Venus moves to Scorpio, and Uranus retrograde in Gemini commences. These three planetary movements will offer a new beginning. The caveat is that Venus in Scorpio will be wandering in the same sign into Libra during the bachelor grade and will move into Sagittarius on January 7, 2027. Uranus retrograde in Gemini lasts until February 8, 2027, offering a reflective glance at how we can evolve. Knowing that growth doesn't happen overnight and takes time is pivotal—that is what this planetary mix teaches us. The lesson is not to rush the process.
On the same day, Venus in Scorpio creates an opposition to Chiron retrograde in Taurus; by licking in word, we can heal wounds and trauma that have persisted for months or years. Be prepared to go deep and have intimate conversations that will transcend relationships. The hurts and fears we feel on a soulful level will come up, but they can be triggering. Try to be gentle with yourself and others during this time as you mend your heart and spirit. The first step toward evolution occurs today, so get ready to do the work.
The fixed star Asterion (Chara) is present, connecting with the New Moon. This adds a flavor of endurance; we won't give up on ourselves or those who care about us easily. The goal is to give our all to help others and make moves in our personal lives that elevate us. As long as we are willing to put our best efforts into the New Moon, anything is possible.
