THE FULL BUCK MOON IN AQUARIUS 2026

Astrology by Lisa Stardust

The Full Buck Moon in Aquarius occurs on July 29 at 7:35 a.m. Pacific Time and 10:35 a.m. Eastern Time. This metaphoric lunation is going to change our lives, rocking our lives to the core.

The rare configuration of the Barbault Basket that peaked this month is highlighted during the Full Moon. The Barbault Basket is the configuration of four planets at the same degree that form a cradle shape in the cosmos. Jupiter, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto all participated in that alignment. Now, they are causing havoc again.

With Jupiter in Leo, Neptune retrograde in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto retrograde in Aquarius all aspecting the Full Moon, it's going to be a wild ride. Jupiter, which forms a conjunction with the Sun (which is called “cazimi”) on the same day, expands the situation to the maximum. Uranus brings in unforeseen situations that are shocking. Neptune adds a sense of paranoia and mystery. Pluto creates a power struggle.

Please note that we may not argue with others; the tense energy could be felt within ourselves, so be kind to yourself throughout the lunation because the energy is very aggressive. The endgame of these planetary connections is to reform our emotional senses to cultivate a feeling of well-being. The journey to that point is going to be intense and frustrating, but we will get there in time. It’s a process and journey.

Venus in Virgo and Mars in Gemini square off, heightening the tension. Conflicts with others that aim to hold us back or make us feel less than amazing escalate. If someone is being critical, choose to disengage. Mercury in Cancer is in the post-retrograde shadow until August 6, so pricing a point or being heard will be hard.

With the asteroid Juno in Aquarius connecting with the Moon, we are going to be drawn towards nurturing. The caveat is that while Juno is known to be a symbol of loyalty, she can also activate feelings of jealousy. Juno was the wife of Jupiter, who was originally aloof to her husband's many infidelities; however, as time progressed, she could not bear to watch him run off with other people. As a result, she sought revenge on Jupiter; therefore, there is a sense of combativeness associated with her legacy and mythology.

Repressed anger can surface, causing conflicts to ensue (externally and internally). Be careful in how you approach others because we may act out in an emotional state and misbehave in the wrong ways. Use this story as a catalyst for personal growth. Instead of hurting others, motivate yourself to beat them at their own game. People want to push you down; rise above it all. The best revenge is living well. The strongest flex is success.
