The Nodes of Destiny in Aquarius and Leo
Astrology by Lisa Stardust for The Hoodwitch
From July 26, 2026, to March 26, 2028, the North Node will be in Aquarius, and the South Node will be in Leo. The Nodes of Destiny are points on the lunar axis that aim to shift or focus towards a particular area that we need to work on. With the North Node entering Aquarius, it's a call to focus on inventiveness, technology, space exploration, and humanitarianism. The South Node in Leo urges us to let go of egotism, selfishness, and leadership roles in an effort to work with others to achieve the greater good.
Keep in mind that the North and South Node work cohesively as a team. It’s important to compensate for both energies at the same time, so while you give back to the community, you might want to get the acknowledgement and credit you deserve — that would be an example of how to utilize both the North and South Nodes in these signs at the same time.
The upcoming eclipses occur in these signs, urging us to bring in new sentiments and aspirations. The North Node describes what we are pulling in, and the South Node is what we're releasing to achieve greatness — they define lessons that the universe is teaching us and how to advance our lives and become the better versions of ourselves. Unfortunately, if we don't make changes ourselves, the cosmos are going to come in and do the hard work during the eclipses, so it's best to work on yourself in the meantime to ensure the shifts aren’t dramatic and to be in line with your fate for the next 18 months.
Every 19 years, the Nodes of Destiny return to the same sign. These are the most recent dates:
December 19, 2007 to August 21, 2009

…and 19 years before that…
Look back at these dates for the story that will manifest. Themes replay themselves over and over.
