Full Moon in Taurus
The Hunter’s Full Moon in Taurus illuminates the sky on October 25 at 9:12 p.m. Pacific Time and on October 26 at 12:12 a.m. Eastern Time. The Full Moon occurs near Samhain and Halloween at the start of Scorpio season, making it vigorous, spooky, and passionate.
The Sun in Scorpio, Moon in Taurus, and Pluto in Aquarius create an astrological aspect known as a T-Square. This consists of a planetary opposition (a 180-degree polarity) and two squares (each connecting at a 90-degree angle) that form a T-shape. The uncompromising fixed energy is tough because it is unwavering and relentless. Hopefully, we’ll gain objectivity to resolve matters, but not until we confront the situation.
The issue is that Pluto isn't a planet that plays nice. A disagreement can escalate if both parties don't know when to stop. If we can find a middle ground, we can learn from the situation and use it as a catalyst for growth— though the latter might be harder. If we move towards a state of transcendence, we can benefit from the evolutionary Hunter’s Moon.
A whopping five planets are retrograde: Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Saturn in Aries, Uranus in Gemini, and Neptune in Aries. The simultaneous backspin of these planets propels us to take on the energy of those that surround us. The veil is thin, heightening our fears, intuition, emotions, sensitivities, and paranoia — so one push in the wrong direction can spark a fire. Be careful not to overstep or be aggressive.
The asteroid Lilith (a physical celestial entity) and Black Moon Lilith (the mathematical point that shows the location of the Moon’s elliptical orbit) are both in Capricorn. She is a powerful feminine figure who uses magic, wisdom, and strength to achieve her goals. Lilith isn’t afraid to fight for what she wants, making her fierce and confident (which scares people). Her presence during the Full Moon gives us the stamina to stand up for ourselves and to assert our rights against those that aim to repress us.
The fixed stars Mira, Mesarthim, and Sheratan add flavor to the lunation. Mira can lead to downfalls if we are greedy and overly ambitious. Mesarthim pushes us to rebel. Sheratan adds a crude, rude edge. Together, these three fixed stars signal a stressful time when we won’t sit back and watch life pass us by. If something irks us, we will confront it directly.
The advice for the Full Moon is not to be super defensive and reactive — no matter how much we want to. Think before you speak to avoid saying anything that could harm relationships. Kindness and compassion can go a long way. Treat others how you’d like to be treated to avoid drama.
