Saturn in Aries 2025–2028: What This Fiery Transit Means for You
Astrology by Lisa Stardust
We are entering a brave new era today! Austere, karmic, and disciplinarian planet Saturn is moving into Aries for the first time since the late 1990s (April 7, 1996 to June 9, 199 and October 25, 1998 to February 28, 1999 to be exact). With this planetary shit comes change that we’ve never experienced before because even though Saturn is spinning through a sign it's been in many times before, the other planets it is aspecting are different and teaching us necessary lessons.
Saturn’s movement into Aries from May 24 (on a Saturday, which is Saturn’s day, so the ingress will be intense) to September 1 (Saturn backspins into Pisces then) and from February 13, 2026 to April 12, 2028 brings araw, unfiltered selfishness into our lives. While Saturn has been in Pisces for the past few years, we've been swept up in the collective’s sentiments. Now, we are implementing boundaries and putting our needs and wants first. Quite frankly, there is nothing wrong with that! We’ll see that not being a martyr and sacrificing our desires is vital. Nothing should or will stand in the way of us attaining success.
Being that Saturn is a malevolent planet and Aries is its least favorite sign to be in, we can expect to see arguments occur out of the blue to gain control of matters, burnout on all levels, and impulsive thinking that can create issues. Saturn likes to take time, while Aries is a fast-mover and shaker. Finding a balance between these two juxtaposing energies will be hard but necessary.
Since Saturn will be transiting closely to Neptune and the centaur Chiron over the next few years (they'll all be in the same sign, except for Chiron, who'll be retrograding between Aries and Taurus), we will have a softer approach. Our goal is to heal and understand rather than control. However, we'll still feel we are the authority on every topic. But at least we are using our power to aid and help others heal — especially on February 20, 2026 when Saturn and Neptune form a conjunction.
Yes, we'll still roll the dice and take chances — they’ll just be calculated risks. Making a list of the pros and cons of every situation will prove beneficial and give insight into how we should move forward. Understanding the best solutions is advisable because winning is essential. Being the one who knows it all and can make decisions is vital.
The best way to utilize the energy to one’s advantage is to create a safe space in the community or home where we can be our true selves. Being honest and authentic is important and enables us to evolve personally. Once we do that, then we can assist others and give back. As long as we do the work, we’ll be golden.
