Which Goddess or Goddess Archetype do you most identify with and why?
Gemini rising means I can't choose one of anything so get ready! I vacillate between Venus and Kali, and Mother Mary and Magdalene. Kali is my raging storm. My inner psycho bitch, my transmuter, my fire of creation. She gets shit done. She doesn't take people treating her badly. She is an unapologetic tornado when she needs to be. She can clear a room with one glance. I fucking love her. (Any lover that can't hold her fullness is out the door btw!)
Mother Mary is my Angelic side. My nurturing side. Unconditional Love. She is so damn sweet and loving and wears white and smiles a lot. She'll bring your soup and wipe your tears.
Mary Magdalene is my Priestess and Eternal lover. She is sexy. She knows sex. She knows the power of her yoni to awaken all humankind
Venus is my beauty and radiance and gentle femininity. She wears gorg dresses and loves fresh flowers and lays back on a clamshell all day and lets things come to her
I flow between them in the span of 10 minutes sometimes! It's a practice and it's delicious, but may look like multiple personalities to the untrained eye!
How do you get in touch with/unleash your inner goddess ?
I dance. I fuck. I kiss. I scream. I sob uncontrollably. I sing at the top of my lungs. I anoint myself with oils. I break glass. I bathe my body. I adorn myself with jewelry. I eat sacred mushrooms and run around in the woods. OH and I dance with snakes!
Also I share my story and voice constantly as a devotional practice to the Goddess. In my early 20's I did a lot of ritual performance on film and with photography to make magic. And wrote plays. And then made more films. Now i share my writing on Instagram and in a column I write called Holy F*ckabout the intersection of marriage of spirituality and sexuality and lead Moon rituals online.
What is your Goddess superpower?
My tender open heart! It can be a bloody mess but I use it everywhere I go. With everyone. It's incredibly painful to have one. But it's also a super power because I think we were born to Love and to have no fear is a super power.
Now I use this superpower for my work and I fucking love it. I work with clients one on one and I guide them to their hearts too. And remind them how to Love without their walls and speak without their stories or patterns or blocks. I have no fear of the dark when in the name of uncovering Love. It's sort of an Anne Frank way of looking at life: "Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart." I believe that. That people have caused me a lot of pain I really believe we are all love at heart and I won't stop being open and loving.
What is an empowering quote and/or important words of wisdom that you'd like to share with other Goddesses out there?
Don't hide your raging storm. Let it out. The time has come and folks can handle it. No more playing nice! We have to be unafraid to show our darkest dark and our lightest light. No more living in the middle or playing nice. It's mediocrity! It's boring! You think people can't handle the full you? Well try them. If they can't then let them go! The people who can handle ALL of you will come. I promise. And it will feel fucking amazing when you live at your full spectrum. Colors will brighten. You laugh will deepen. You'll cum harder than ever. I promise it's worth every moment of the discomfort it takes to get there.
