Mercury Retrograde 2024

It's that time of the year again! Yes, you guessed it, the moment has come when Mercury is slowing down and offering us the time to reflect and rethink past actions. Mercury Retrograde is commencing on April 1st and lasting until the 25th. However, the pre-retrograde zone began on March 18th, and the post-retrograde phase will last until May 13th, giving us extra time to deal with issues coming to the forefront of our lives. 

What makes this retrograde unique, besides it being in the zodiac sign Aries, is that it falls in between the two eclipses of spring. The first eclipse was on March 25th, and the upcoming eclipse on April 8th is a significant indicator that the planetary moonwalk is going to bring a lot of surprises and old stories back into our worlds. So, buckle up because it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

The upcoming total solar eclipse in Aries on April 8th will be affected by Mercury Retrograde, confusing our plans. However, on April 11th, the Sun will form a conjunction with Mercury Retrograde, also known as “cazimi,” which is the most advantageous date to sign contracts, have conversations, and make deals. On April 15th, Mercury Retrograde will link up with the healing centaur Chiron, providing an opportunity to heal emotional wounds. Furthermore, its alliance with Venus on April 19th will aid us in discovering ways to increase our confidence and mend the past.

Here are some magical techniques to thrive through Mercury Retrograde: 

Adding citrus zest to your drinks, meals, or home environment is crucial because it contains one of the essences of Mercury. This will not only add a pleasant aroma but also improve communication and energize our minds.

When frustrated, taking a healing bath with lavender and Epsom salt can help calm the mind. Lavender is known to aid in achieving peace of mind and reducing stress, while Epsom salt can cool down our fiery temperament.

Take advantage of this retrograde period to reflect, reconsider, and refine your past experiences. Keeping a journal and practicing meditation can be powerful tools for gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves and clarifying how we can use our past to inform our future.

Singing can be a great tool to help unblock the throat chakra. You can try singing your favorite songs or even making up your tune to help overcome any blockages caused by miscommunication during the retrograde period.
