The Super Full Flower Moon In Scorpio

May 7th brings the final Supermoon of 2020. Not only that, but it marks the beginning of our dreams and end of old sentiments which are holding us back from living our best lives. We are now shedding the past and embracing the new. After all, every new beginning comes from another beginning’s end.

During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are at opposite ends of the spectrum, allowing us to see situations and relationships clearer as the Moon illuminates a powerful glow onto Earth as a result of this planetary opposition. We begin to take notice of matters that have previously swept under the carpet — particularly relating to our emotions and sentiments. Being that the Moon is extremely close to Earth at the moment, we call it a Supermoon. And, yes, this means that we feel on a grander level than if this luminary was a regular Full Moon.

This Super Full Moon aspects Mercury and Neptune, making us feel a disconnect between our logical mind and tender heart. Pragmatism and realistic views won’t hold up at this time, as we are lovesick over the profession, or lack thereof, towards our dreams. We won’t want to give up — in fact, we may push harder to make it happen. Remember, all things come to those who wait. Don’t give up on a vision because it’s delayed or there’s a setback. If you feel like throwing your hands up in the air and taking a break from a project, friendship, or professional endeavor then give yourself a moment to recoup. Nothing is forever and you may change your mind in a few weeks (this is due to Venus being in her pre-retrograde zone).

The Sabian symbol for the Super Full Moon is “A Path Through Woods Brilliant With Multicolored Splendor.” This is our cosmic wake up call to honor our progress in life. Let the light of the Supermoon energize our spirit, heart, and mind. More importantly, it’s a powerful time to heal the past, in order to make our present circumstances more fulfilling and our future better. Anything is possible, if we ebb and flow with all the changes happening around us.

*The Super Full Flower Moon occurs on May 7th at 3:45AM PST and 6:45AM EST.

Ritual

Light a candle on your altar to give thanks to the spirits and cosmic forces who give us guidance. Fill the bath with Himalayan or Epsom Salts. Use sandalwood or patchouli oils (essences of Scorpio) with rose petals or oil (the essence of Taurus and the theme of the Flower Full Moon). Meditate, while in the bath, on what needs to be released, as well as what needs to be brought in. Think about the next phase of your life. What are your desires and passions? How can you make them a reality? Harvest success now, in order to light the way for your dreams to come to fruition.
