This is a week of transition. The Sun moves from active Aries and into sensual Taurus on the 19th. This shift, on the heels of that long Venus Rx, will help to get you grounded into what really matters to you in the material world. This day also brings us a Sun conjunction to Mercury Retrograde, and Mercury’s the planet that’s currently functioning like a robot on the fritz. This is an excellent day for working with your Dear Diary and cultivating insights that help you make sense of your world, but not so much for making hard and fast plans. The following day (the 20th), Mercury shuffles on back into Aries, and on the 21st Mars moves into fast-paced Gemini. These shifts are great for innovation and play, but they can try your patience if you need to have it. The takeaway here is that this is a time for evolution. If you’ve been trying to keep things the same, you’ll find that it’s hard to do and actually won’t even work. You’re not supposed to stay the same, my loves. Even as we move into security-oriented Taurus time, we must learn this: no peace will come from stability built on stagnancy. Find your happiness, the places where you can be authentic, and build your fortunes on that foundation, not the other way around.
That brings us to the big news this week – on the 21st Venus comes around to square Saturn again (this last happened on April 8th and before that on January 27th). What Saturn wants is to teach you a lesson, and what Venus wants is peace and love; the result is that we’re on the hook for how we prioritize the situations, things, and dynamics that we most value now. It’s easy to err on the side of diplomacy when Venus is involved, but Saturn won’t have it; take responsibility for the ways that you aren’t in alignment with what you’re convicted about. You’re not supposed to be perfect, and this isn’t supposed to be easy. Take responsibility for yourself without degenerating into guilt or glossing over the gritty stuff. The only way to create security is by having a solid foundation in your self. Make it your priority as you go through this season of change.
March 21-April 19
Change is inevitable; your job is too make sure that you’re growing in a direction that allows you to be your best self rather than moving in one that coddles you in your limitations. This week you’re likely to get some opportunities that will test your strength of character. To honor what you believe to be right, you may have to pass up something that looks good on paper. Be brave enough to do what’s right for you, even if other people don’t understand what you’re doing.
April 20-May 20
The thing about risk is that you can’t avoid it. There’s no path that you can take that allows you to avoid growing pains, loss, and failure. It’s all part of the journey, Taurus. Don’t let what could go wrong stop you from creating what could be very, very, right. This week is ripe for moving forward with changes that are scary but super worth it. You’re ready to take the necessary steps to get a little extra happy in your life.
May 21-June 21
Mars enters your sign this week, and that can bode well for you if you’re willing to work. This shift in energy is an invitation to get into your body and to get motivated. If you’ve been dragging your feet, this is the perfect shift for you to spring into action. If, however, you’ve been on a roll of making things happen, you should be careful that you don’t step on anyone’s toes as you move towards your goals. Embody ambition without ambushing the people around you, Twin Star.
June 22-July 22
When you feel overwhelmed, it’s easy to focus on everything outside of you as a way to make yourself feel more grounded, but that just doesn’t work. Take this self-care challenge this week: whenever you feel sticky emotionally, take a deep breathe and check in with your body. Notice where your emotions are located in your body, and feel them. Ground into your felt experience without excuses, defenses, or stories. Just feel the feels and keep on keepin’ on, my love.
July 23-Aug. 22
Letting go is hard; there are so many layers to be released if you want to really move on. Closure doesn’t come from outside influences; it’s something that you must work towards yourself. It’s not enough to be ‘over it’ – you’ve also got to know the part of you that once consented to the situation that you’re now wanting to move past, and come to peace with it. Don’t be a bully, Leo. Allow yourself to be at whatever stage of the letting-go process that you’re at, so you can do it right and do it once.
Aug. 23-Sept. 22
How do you evaluate success, Virgo? if you don’t have a central sense of your goals and what achievement looks and feels like when you hit it, then you’re likely to have a pretty uncomfortable week. You’re on call to manage your anxieties by streamlining your thoughts. Distill your concerns down to their most essential and functional parts so that you don’t get overwhelmed by all the details. The foundation to tomorrow is right now; only handle this present moment to stabilize it just right.
Sept. 23-Oct. 22
You don’t have to make a decision, Libra. Seriously. It’s OK to weigh out your options against your feels before you make a call, even if that call is to hit the pause button. The trick is to own it. If you act passively in the face of your choices, it’ll make you feel agitated and disempowered, and that just sucks. Own the complicated and messy stuff because you have the right to feel whatever you feel, my love. Don’t act out; owning your actions feels so much better in the long run.
Oct. 23-Nov. 21
Nelson Mandela said “There is no such thing as part freedom”; when a part of you is bound up, you can’t be truly free. This week you’re likely to be battling your formidable compulsions, and Scorpio, the only person who stands to lose here is you. Life isn’t always fair, and while that sucks, it’s just part of the game. If you’re in it to win it, you should prioritize what counts – your wellness – over your drive to prove yourself to yourself or anyone else.
Nov. 22-Dec. 21
If you accept your situation – the good, the bad, and the ugly of it – will it change how you feel about it? If you indulge in escapism, you’ll only be putting off the inevitable, and it won’tactually change your situation. This week you’re on call to confront the reality of your state of affairs, my love. You are totally capable of dealing with your life, but you’ve got to want to try. Don’t let fear trick you into hiding from the tough stuff; you’ve got this, ‘Tarius.
Dec. 22-Jan. 19
Nothing lasts forever, Cappy. This week your work is to follow through on your will without being rigid about it. You’re pointed in the right direction, but you can’t make plans based on what hasn’t yet come to pass. Regardless of your relationships or collaborations, you have to make decisions that you can feel right with yourself about. Apply things that you’ve learned from your past to your current situation. Be a part of the changes in your life.
Jan. 20-Feb. 18
You’re at the end, and it’s kinda emo. You’ve worked hard to get to this point, but now that it’s here, doubt, fear, and other unwelcome guests have taken their seat in your psyche’s Situation Room. Sort out what’s good old-fashioned cold feet versus your inner wisdom nudging you towards what’s wrong. Endings are just the backside of something new. If you’re in doubt this week, reach out and ask for perspective from trusted loved ones, Aquarius.
Feb. 19-March 20
You may be feeling all kinds of pressure to preform, but this is actually a good moment to take a step back. Get yourself grounded, Pisces. Your biggest job this week is to get and maintain your boundaries. The trick is to do it without defending them. Communicate where you’re at to others so that they know, not so that they give you permission. Let others have their feels while you take care of yours, my love.
